GDC Online was our first time exhibiting at any of the GDC events and it was a fantastic experience. We got to meet dozens of people from the games industry; from the biggest studios in the world to small studios creating a wide range of casual and online games to students from local schools (including: Arts Institute Austin, Alamo College, Houston Community College) who were getting immersed in the latest trends and tools of the industry that they’ll soon be working in.

It was a good opportunity for us to check in with old friends and users from EA, Disney Interactive and others. They saw a preview of some of our upcoming features that are being bundled into our Fall Release. It was equally valuable to meet with game studios, creative & art directors and outsourcing managers who had never seen ConceptShare.

What I loved the most is that our tool was clearly hitting a sweet spot with many of you who stopped by to visit. To the point where some of you started calling ConceptShare the “Show to Tell” tool. A few of you used that sound bite to describe the tool to your colleagues and they showed up asking to see the “Show to Tell” tool.

That sound bite captures why many game studios are already using ConceptShare to review digital assets (game art, concept art, animation, etc.) to provide clear and actionable art direction.  Instead of writing out line after line trying to communicate your feedback you can now use ConceptShare to annotate your assets and visually communicate what your change requests and other vital information to get assets being produced by outsourcers from “Zero” to “Done” on time, on spec…… “Show to Tell”. Awesome!

If you didn’t get a chance to stop by check out this case study that was recently written documenting the benefit that BigFishGames and Timbuk2 Studios have realized by managing their outsourcing project through ConceptShare.

Thanks again to everyone that stopped by the ConceptShare booth. We held a draw for 1 of 10 copies of Star Wars: The Complete Saga. The winners were are listed below and will be contacted this week to arrange for delivery

ConceptShare For 9-Year Olds
